May 2020: Global leader in aerospace industry re-selects Precision Bridge

A global leader in the aerospace industry re-selected Precision Bridge this month to address their requirements for a strategic migration project. The project involves the migration of CSM data records from a customised on-premise ServiceNow instance to a cloud based instance.

The project follows on from the successful implementation of Precision Bridge last year to migrate ITSM and ITBM data between the customer’s ServiceNow instances. In that case the project was completed in less than 2 months.

Key requirements for the new project are maintaining data integrity, support for migrating customised and extended tables, migration of journal entries, SLAs, audit records and attachments. Any alternative to Precision Bridge would have required extensive resources and significant additional effort over several months with increased risk and specialist knowledge.

Following the news of re-selection, Mark Herring, Co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “We are delighted that Precision Bridge has been re-selected for this global customer. It represents a glowing endorsement of the benefits and versatility that Precision Bridge can provide for cross-instance migration projects like this.”.

Apr 20: Leading technology company selects Precision Bridge to accelerate their migration to a new instance

A leading technology company based in Virginia USA, recently selected Precision Bridge to automate and accelerate their migration to a new ServiceNow instance.  The company had a number of ITSM applications which were heavily customised and they wanted to start from a clean slate on a new instance.  Due to the volume of data and the time available, using a purely manual approach was simply not an option.  Precision Bridge provided the best alternative by providing pre-built migration templates and pre-configured mappings for handling complex relationships, attachments and journal entries whilst maintaining cross-platform data integrity.

Mark Herring, co-founder of Precision Bridge commented: “We are delighted that this leading technology company selected the Precision Bridge product and I look forward to working with them over the coming weeks to make this project a success.”

Nov 2019: New Precision Bridge adaptor for migrating GRC data from RSA Archer® to ServiceNow®

We are pleased to announce the release of a new Precision Bridge adaptor to support the migration of GRC data from RSA Archer® applications to ServiceNow®. October 2019: Wellstar Health completes migration to new instance in 3 weeks.

Congratulations to Wellstar Health for their successful implementation of Precision Bridge in addressing their migration to a new ServiceNow instance in 3 weeks!

If you missed the webinar on this customer success story you can watch it here

Jesse Oquendo, ServiceNow manager at Wellstar Health commented: “We had a heavily customised instance that had been in use for several years and wanted to migrate to a new platform with a clean slate.  In particular we needed to migrate incident, request, change and CMDB records. Initially we put together a team of six people to manually export and import the 700,000 incident records.  However we soon found that more work was required to migrate the corresponding journal entries, SLAs, SW Licensing, CMDB and attachment records so after a few weeks we looked for an alternative approach.

Precision Bridge was selected because it automated and accelerated the end-end migration process without the need to export/import any data.  Most of the mappings and transforms for incident, requests and changes were pre-built into the supporting migration templates further reducing the overall effort and ensuring that data integrity was maintained across platforms.  The full migration of over 2,000,000 records using Precision Bridge took around 3 weeks from start to finish using two FTEs including design, deployment and testing. Thats compared to over six weeks with six FTEs using the original approach, a saving of over 80%”.

Mark Herring, Co-Founder of Precision Bridge commented: “We had not heard from Wellstar Health for a while so I was concerned that they had not progressed with their migration; turns out that the tool was so easy to use that they only needed to contact us a couple of times for support and the rest was all plain sailing.  We are delighted that Wellstar Health have been so successful in making use of Precision Bridge to address their migration requirements and we wish them well in taking advantage of the latest ServiceNow functionality on their new platform”.
